Experienced Breeders
Bittersweet Labradors is a small hobby kennel located in upstate New York's Capital Region. We have been in Labradors since 1989 when we brought home Tai, Stormhaven's Black Tai CD. We found that we loved doing obedience with Schenectady Dog Training Club and hunt training with Black Creek Retriever Club. We decided that breed might be fun to try. Our friends Nancy Scholz of Manora Labradors and Diane Gering of Windrush Labradors encouraged us. Nancy entrusted us with Hannah who went on to become Can CH Manora's Bittersweet JH CDX RA. Hannah was the foundation of Bittersweet . She produced wonderful puppies, was our first dog with a JH and got her CDX at 10 years old at the Labrador Retriever Club National Specialty.
Today, 30 years later our love for the breed continues. Bittersweet Labradors have achieved much over the years. We have produced AKC breed Champions, master, senior, and junior hunters , agility, many obedience and rally titles. Not to mention AKC Canine Good Citizens and therapy dogs.
Healthy Labradors
Producing sound, well breed dogs that conform to the Labrador breed standard. Our dogs are tested and cleared for hereditary issues prior to breeding and certified through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
